A Message From The Principal

Mr Landers, Principal:  It has been a fast and furious half term here at Pegasus with lots of exciting things going on. Firstly, I am immensely proud of how our Year 11 students have approached their examinations. They are nearly half way through and, supported by our fabulous staff,  have really given it everything they have got. With three more weeks of examinations after the break, half term is vitally important, not just for some key revision but also to relax and spend time with friends and family.

Year 10 are beginning to step up with improved attendance and punctuality. This will be vital in ensuring their success this year. They also have the prospect of a weeklong college experience with our sponsor Dudley College next half term, where we will be working closely with them to explore their next steps.

Year 9 students not only have been working hard in lessons but have participated in many out of school events including a Business Speed Networking session at Wolverhampton Racecourse, charity work for the White House Cancer Trust and the Big Bang Science event at the NEC.

Year 8 have now completed their GCSE pathways and we will send out confirmation letters after the holiday. I have been pleased with the maturity shown when considering options with students on the whole making good decisions on what to study at Key Stage 4.

Year 7 have yet again had an action packed term with pupils having opportunities to go on the Ingestre Hall Arts Residential and take part in a project run by the Welsh National Opera. The schedule for next term is already filling up with the whole of Year 7 going to Ludlow Castle as part of their Literacy for Life work and a range of exciting activities including visits to theme parks as part of our enrichment week.

Once again, can I thank all parents and carers for your continued support and wish you a great bank holiday weekend and half-term.
