At Pegasus Academy, Values Driven Education (VDE) helps create the positive culture our learners experience every day. It shapes how we learn, behave and work together, making sure every child and young person feels supported, encouraged and able to succeed. We believe that success is about much more than academic achievement. Through VDE, we recognise and celebrate the qualities that help learners grow as confident, thoughtful and responsible young people, including effort, resilience, leadership, kindness and contribution to school life. Our values and rewards driven approach encourages learners to take pride in their actions, make positive choices and understand how their behaviour can support both their own success and the success of others.
Clear Expectations for Every Learner
VDE provides a clear and consistent framework for expectations across our schools. It promotes a culture where effort is valued over attainment and attitude is valued over achievement, helping learners understand that how they approach learning matters every day. Learners are encouraged to challenge themselves, embrace new opportunities and demonstrate the Trust’s values in their everyday actions. The Learner Planner
