GCSE Results Day 2019
We are extremely pleased with this years GCSE results at Pegasus and would like to congratulate all students who have gained some of the best results the Academy has achieved over recent years. Attainment has improved particularly in the core subjects of English , maths and science which has seen significant improvement in the percentage of students gaining the all important Grade 5 and above in these areas. This includes a 10% increase from last year on students achieving strong passes in English and mathematics.
In Science the percentage of students gaining 2 or more sciences has again increase at both standard (grade 4) and strong (grade 5) passes.
Although their are many positive stories, I would like to mention the achievements of Daisy Lamb and Arshaaq Aziz who achieved outstanding results at Grade 8 and 9 across all of their subjects. For Arshaaq this included achieving the highest grades possible in English Literature, Biology and Geography and for Daisy , Grade 9s were achieved in Chemistry and Sociology. Special mention must go to Natasha Hussain who has made the most progress of any student in the Academy gaining on average 3 grades above her expected grades.
It is once again an exciting time at Pegasus, we wish all our students success as they take their next steps in Sixth Form, College or employment.
