Summer School 2021 (02/08/21 to 06/08/21)

Our Summer School took place for one week from Monday 2nd August until Friday 6th August 2021. All students from our new intake into year 7 were invited to attend, a total of 61 students took up this offer. The overall focus of the week was on transition, giving students an opportunity to meet new teachers and other students, getting to know the school environment, and taking part in team building exercises. There was a focus on Literacy and Numeracy teaching throughout the week and students also had an opportunity to sample other subjects such as catering, art, drama, PE and dance. At the end of the week there was a celebration event and an outside company was hired to provide various inflatable obstacle courses. A total of £24,981.94 has been claimed in funding for the summer school.
